About DataFlow
DataFlow Analytics Dashboard: Real-Time Insights
DataFlow Analytics Dashboard is a powerful web application designed to help data teams monitor, analyze, and visualize their data pipelines in real time. Whether you're tracking ETL jobs, monitoring API performance, or generating executive reports, DataFlow provides a unified interface to streamline your workflow.
Why DataFlow?
- Real-Time Monitoring: Track the health and performance of your data pipelines with live updates.
- Customizable Dashboards: Drag-and-drop widgets to create dashboards tailored to your team’s needs.
- Alerting System: Set up automated alerts for anomalies, failures, or performance degradation.
- Collaboration Tools: Share dashboards, annotate trends, and collaborate with your team in real time.
Key Use Cases
- ETL Monitoring: Visualize the status of your Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) jobs and identify bottlenecks.
- API Performance: Track latency, error rates, and throughput for your APIs.
- Business Reporting: Generate KPI dashboards for stakeholders with customizable metrics.
- Data Quality Checks: Monitor data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across pipelines.
How It Works
DataFlow connects to your data sources (e.g., databases, APIs, or cloud storage) and ingests metadata about your pipelines. It then processes this data to provide visualizations, alerts, and reports. The dashboard supports integrations with popular tools like Apache Airflow, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and AWS S3.
Key Features
Live Pipeline Monitoring
Get real-time updates on the status of your data pipelines. Visualize job runs, success/failure rates, and execution times.
Custom Widgets
Build dashboards with custom widgets for metrics like throughput, latency, error rates, and more.
Role-Based Access
Control access to dashboards and reports with role-based permissions. Assign roles like Admin, Editor, or Viewer.
Export & Share
Export dashboards as PDFs or shareable links. Embed dashboards in internal wikis or presentations.
Automated Alerts
Configure alerts for critical events, such as pipeline failures or performance drops, and receive notifications via email or Slack.

Step 3: Create Your First Dashboard
Click Create Dashboard from the homepage.
Select a template or start from scratch.
Drag and drop widgets from the Widget Library to your dashboard. Popular widgets include:
Pipeline Status: Shows the health of your ETL jobs.
Error Rate: Tracks failures over time.
Throughput: Measures data processing speed.
Customize each widget by selecting a data source and configuring metrics.
Step 4: Set Up Alerts
Go to Alerts > Create Alert.
Define the condition (e.g., "Job fails more than 3 times in an hour").
Choose notification channels (email, Slack, or Teams).
Save the alert.
Step 5: Share Your Dashboard
